Getting started#
What is SynthBoard?
SynthBoard is a decision-intelligence platform where you assemble a board of expert AI advisors — each with their own role, personality, and memory across your sessions — and put one decision in front of them. They debate, push back on each other, and produce a synthesised recommendation you can actually act on.
How do I run my first session?
Sign in, click ‘Start a new session’ from your dashboard, pick a session mode and a board, then ask your question. The board debates and synthesises — you get a recommendation in 60–180 seconds.
Open dashboardWhich AI models power SynthBoard?
Frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Perplexity. Synths are matched to the model that fits their personality, with premium tiers unlocking the most capable models across all four providers.
How sessions work#
What does a session actually do?
Each session deploys 2–12 specialised AI synths with competing perspectives, runs 1–5 rounds of structured debate in one of the 10 branded modes, and produces a synthesised recommendation. Every synth is its own model call — not one model playing roles. Cross-round summary tracks how positions shifted over the debate.
How many synths can I use per session?
Pick 2–12 synths per session — Free up to 3, Pro up to 5, Max up to 8, Ultra up to 12. Each synth has a distinct role, personality, and memory across your sessions for genuine diversity of thought.
Can I share sessions with my team?
Yes. Open a session, click Share, and generate a link. Permissions are read-only by default — toggle edit access if you want collaborators to continue the conversation.
Can I save a board for re-use?
Yes — save your synth selection as a Board at /boards. Spin up new sessions from a saved Board in one click. Useful for recurring decisions like weekly planning, deal reviews, or pre-mortems.
What happens if a session fails mid-run?
Credits are reconciled — you only pay for what was actually computed. If it fails before any model call, nothing is charged. If it fails mid-round, you are charged for completed rounds only. The session.failed webhook fires (if registered). You can fork the session from your dashboard to retry with the same configuration.
Can I delete a session?
Draft sessions can be deleted immediately. Active, completed, and archived sessions stay around for credit and audit reasons but can be archived so they disappear from the default dashboard list.
Credits & billing#
How does pricing work?
SynthBoard runs on a monthly subscription. Each tier includes a monthly credit grant — Free 100, Pro 1,500, Max 5,000, Ultra 10,000 — and sessions consume credits as they run. The credit unit value (1 credit = $0.01) is the same across every plan; what changes between tiers is how many credits your subscription includes plus which models, modes, and limits are unlocked.
View pricingHow much do typical sessions cost?
Lightning Round (3 synths, 1 round) lands around 30–60 credits. The Arena or Shark Tank (6 synths, 3 rounds) runs 100–180. Deep Dive or Boardroom (8–10 synths, 4–5 rounds) is 250–400. Outcomes generation is an optional 20–50 on top.
Is there a free tier?
Yes — forever-free, no card required. 100 credits a month plus 200 bonus credits on signup. Up to 20 sessions on the account, 8 essential synths, 4 session modes. Enough to run several real boards before you decide whether to upgrade.
Do unused credits roll over?
Subscription credits reset each billing cycle and do not carry over. Top-up credit packs (purchased separately) never expire — they are yours forever and are spent only after the monthly grant runs out.
Can I cancel anytime, and do you refund?
You can cancel your subscription at any time and you keep access through the end of your current billing period. All purchases are final and non-refundable. Payments are processed securely by Paddle.
View pricingHow do I track my credit usage?
Your dashboard shows real-time credit balance and recent usage. Each session lists its credit breakdown on completion.
Go to dashboardIntegrations & tools#
Can I run sessions from Claude, Cursor, or Zapier?
Yes. SynthBoard ships a production MCP server compatible with every MCP-native client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed, ChatGPT, Raycast, and more), plus a full REST API and native adapters for Zapier, n8n, Make, Pipedream, Activepieces, and Arcade. Everything uses the same engine and the same credit balance.
Which tools can synths actually execute?
Any of 62 providers connected at /settings/integrations. Gmail, Outlook, Linear, Jira, Asana, HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Notion, Stripe, Brex, PostHog, and more. Each action goes through a Skeptic review and your explicit approval (with a 30-second undo window) before execution. Per-session, you can restrict synths to specific tools or turn tool execution off entirely.
Privacy & data#
How is my data handled?
Your sessions are isolated per account at the database layer — only you can read your own sessions. Prompts and outputs are sent to the model providers listed in our privacy policy (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity). None of them train on your data. API key usage is audit-logged for 90 days.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, and full data isolation between accounts.
View security detailsDo you sell my data?
Never. Your sessions and prompts are private. We only share data with the model providers required to generate responses, and they are contractually bound not to train on it.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Close your account from settings, and all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Individual session deletes are immediate for drafts.
