SynthBoardvsPerplexity

Perplexity finds the facts.
A board makes the call.

Perplexity is the best way to get a cited answer from the web. A decision needs more than facts: someone to weigh them, someone to argue the other side, and a record of what you chose. That is what SynthBoard does — and its experts look things up too.

Launch in Germany this year?

Work · Board of 3

We sell scheduling software to dental clinics in the UK: 300 clinics at £90 a month. Should we launch in Germany this year, or win more of the UK first?

Chief of staff

Your board is seated: The Strategist, The Regulator, The CFO. They read the brief first, then research, then argue it out.

The board’s call

Not this year. Win more of the UK first, and run a ten-clinic German pilot in the spring to learn what a full launch needs.

Germany means German-language support, a data-protection review and a new sales motion, all before the first euro. Your 300 UK clinics bring in £27k a month; the cheapest growth is the UK clinics you haven’t reached yet.

The Strategist disagreed

“If a rival gets to Germany first, you enter second, and second is expensive. Start the pilot this quarter, not in spring.”

Does SynthBoard search the web?

Yes. When a question needs current facts — a competitor’s price, a regulation, recent news — the expert searches before answering and cites what it found. It is not a search engine; it uses search to ground a call.

Can I use both?

Yes: Perplexity to read up, SynthBoard to decide. Bring what you found into the thread and the experts build on it.

Is every question a board?

No. Your Chief of Staff answers the everyday herself. A question that needs one expert becomes a consult; only the biggest calls go to a board. Talking to your Chief of Staff is free within a daily allowance. A consult or a board shows its price on the card before anything runs, and nothing runs until you tap.

What if the experts are wrong?

They can be: the experts are AI. That is why every memo shows how confident the board is, what would flip the call and who disagreed, and why the call stays yours.
