## Definition

A recurring written update from a standing advisory board summarizing what changed since the last decision: which premises moved, which action items are still open, and which past calls now deserve a second look. The brief inverts the usual relationship with an advisory tool — instead of the user remembering to come back with a question, the board reaches out when the situation has drifted from the assumptions the decision rested on. Its value comes entirely from continuity: a brief is only possible if the system retained what was decided, why, and what it was watching.
