## Why this exists

The hardest decisions — a pivot, a hire, a deal, a career move, a major personal choice — don't fail because you lacked information. They fail because nothing in the room pushed back hard enough.

Single-AI tools default to agreement. Teams default to consensus. Real human advisors are slow, expensive, and rare. So most calls get made under the same conditions: one perspective, no friction, no memory of the last decision, no accountability for how it turned out.

SynthBoard is the structural fix. A standing board of expert AI advisors (we call them **Synths**) who hold positions, disagree out loud, and feed every outcome back into the next call.

## What makes a SynthBoard different — the four mechanics

A single mechanic is copyable. Together, they take 18+ months to replicate.

Each Synth holds a position under pressure. Anti-sycophancy is engineered into every persona via a six-layer stack: base prompt, 7-dimensional DNA, OCEAN traits, cognitive framework, position-integrity rules, and voice archetype. The board argues so you don't have to argue with yourself.

### 2. Cross-session memory
Every decision you make is remembered. The board reasons about your next call in light of every call before it — what you decided, what you considered, what you ruled out, what worked, what didn't.

### 3. Outcome-aware learning
Outcomes from connected tools (Stripe, Linear, Calendar, Gmail, GitHub) flow back into the system. The board learns whether the advice actually worked. Synths evolve from real results, not user satisfaction scores.

## What we believe

1. **Disagreement is signal, not noise.** The best decisions in history were forged through structured opposition. Most modern AI tools optimise for agreement. We optimise against it.
2. **Memory is the moat.** A board that does not remember your last decision cannot help you with your next one. Cross-session memory is not a feature — it is the product.
3. **Outcomes beat opinions.** Every decision should feed back into the system. We infer outcomes from connected tools rather than asking you to log them.
4. **Approval before action.** Anything the board does on your behalf is gated by you, traceable, and reversible inside 30 seconds.
5. **Decisions, not conversations.** The product is structured decision-making, not chat. We will not turn the boardroom into a chatbot.
